Halifax Floor Hockey LeagueFirst of all, the league wants to thank Rod at Eastside Mario's once again for coming through with our weekly ESM Player of the Week Awards. We want everyone to remember that these guys are going above and beyond to support our league and we want to see our league do the same for them!
Thanks Eastside Marios!
Titans beat Chill 7-5
Defending champ Chill take their second loss in a row to start the season off. This was much closer than last week.despite team captain even "The" Pittman tallying 4 goals.
Stephen "the Mouth of the South" Thorne picks up a nice hat trick for the Titans.
Hackers beat Sabres 9-6
This one featured what many think could be the top two teams in the league and the Hackers just made everyone aware that "they don't like to lose"
Tony Joyce gets 2 as does Copper and Banks. this one was close going into the final minutes, but Hackers pulled out the Wynn...Tom Wynn that is!
Slayers beat the Bulldogs 10-7
Roger Keating served notice that he was back picking up a hat trick and even got three assists. We would have top check, but I don't know if he had that many total leading up to this game Ha! Trevor McGuigan picked up a couple of goals and two helpers.
Whoa Nilly! Fire toast the Lynx 16-6
So can you say Braden Urquhart! Well read the game sheet and you will have the spelling memorized anyway. He tore it up this week scoring a whopping 9 goals and getting 3 assists. His partner in crime Adam Schellenberg got three and three himself.
No bight side for the Lynx...just have to lick their wounds...
So that is it folks. Have a great weekend and we shall see you all next week.
Be Well!
