Halifax Floor Hockey LeagueHey there everyone. The summer has come to an end, the kids are in school and the sound of a whiffle ball whistling past your ears all are soigns that this great game we play is about to start another season.
I'm Billy Concarney and this is your first edition of the HFHL News. I want to start by firts of all acknowledging a fallne comrad. It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to a great spirit and player in Liam Blanchard. Although he only graced our league for a couple of seasons, he will be remembered as a great guy with a wicked shot. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
Also, we want to extend a huge thank you to Johann Tienhaara, our former commish who has brought the league to where it is today. He apsses the torch to one Marty "Candy" Kane and a rag tag band of misfits who will do the best they can to keep thungs rolling as they should be.
The 2012 B Season draft was held this past Tueasday in a secluded secret location and the captains tried to match wits as they each brought a different strategy to the table. Some where looking for speed, others for toughness. Some weren't looking at all and yet one soul captain set out to try and win the league with the oldes team on record...or at leats in the modern era. Good luck with that.

The last pick was Neil cameron...but don't feel bad Neil, Albert was always picked last and he got his own commercial!
League starts this coming Monday, September 17th so be there or ...don't be there. Make sure you bring your money!
