Halifax Floor Hockey LeagueWith one game left in our regular season we have a tight race for first.The undefeated Hackers stand alone at the top with 15 points. The Lynx are close behind trailing by one point, while the Slayers are sniffing the top down by just two.
This week's big game will be between the Slayers and the Lynx. This could determine who will finish second and face off against either the Chill or the Fire.
Before I go any further, here is where we stand
1. Hackers 15 pt
2. Lynx 14 pts
3. Slayers 13 pts
4. Fire 5 pts
5. Chill 5 pts
6. Sabres 2 pts
So, the Hackers would finish 1st if they win against the Chill this week, which mean that the Lynx and Slayers are battling for 2nd and 3rd.
If the Slayers win and the Hackers lose, the Hackers would sell finish first because of regular season play against one another. If the Lynx win and the Hackers lose, the Lynx will take sole possession of 1st.
When it comes to 4th and 5th, a fire win and and Chill win wild keep the fire in 4th place so these tow teams hold their own destiny regarding 4th and 5th.
the Sabres, with just one win, but a positive step for these guys, will stay in last place regardless...but dont count these guys down yet They have a couple of great weapons up front and Craig Burgoyne can steal a game any given night.
My predictions for this week are:
Chill and Hackers tie.
Fire narrowly beat the Sabres
Lynx shut down the Slayers big guns with solid D and take sleeping possession of 3rd place.
But I guess we will just hafta wait and see1
